Cyber Defense for High School Students and Teachers (CDSAT)

The Cyber Defense for High School Students and Teachers (CDSAT) program is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi to expand the pool of cybersecurity professionals by attracting both young people and veterans to information assurance and cybersecurity careers. There are four main aspects to the program:

1) Further development of the CyberPatriot program nationwide,
2) Development of cyber defense camps for individuals seeking training in the field,
3) Training of high school teachers to increase student participation in security competitions
4) Training veterans on cybersecurity and cyber defense, and
5) Increasing the number of students in University-level cyber security and information assurance programs.
